How can you create more joy around you?

Posted on Nov 7th, 2008 by celebriticat : Ambassador of Hugs celebriticat
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 07, 2008:

In my view, the best way to create more joy around us is to create more joy within us. In fact, I believe the only way we can give real joy is to have it to begin with.

It also takes awareness - awareness of how we are feeling in this moment, and awareness that we all share the same basic needs - to be loved, appreciated, seen, heart, wanted.

Joy is as aspect of love. The more we recognize ourselves as love, the more joy we experience and the more we have to share.

At least that's the way I see it. But, what do I know?

How do you comfort those who are sad?

Posted on Nov 13th, 2008 by celebriticat : Ambassador of Hugs celebriticat
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 13, 2008:

As an empath and a minister of touch, I find that the most comforting thing I can do for another is to hug them or hold them. I may also cry with them, and if comforting words come, I speak them. But I try not to force words, because many of the things that are traditionally spoken with the intent to comfort can actually create more pain.

How do you make decisions?

Posted on Nov 14th, 2008 by celebriticat : Ambassador of Hugs celebriticat
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 14, 2008:

The thing that has helped me most in making decisions is realizing that I cannot make a mistake. Whatever I decide, the outcome will hold gifts for me in the form of life lessons.

Nothing can go wrong. Nothing has ever gone wrong. Everything that occurs in our life has purpose. Or so it seems to me. What do I know?

What's the most abundant resource in your life?

Posted on Nov 15th, 2008 by celebriticat : Ambassador of Hugs celebriticat
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 15, 2008:

Love is the most abundant resource in my life.

Love is all there is.

And I love giving love away.

"Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around." - Leo Buscaglia

More power to you!

What are you saving?

Posted on Nov 16th, 2008 by celebriticat : Ambassador of Hugs celebriticat
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 16, 2008:

I am saving less and letting go of more.

I started going to reiki shares early this year, and over the months, attachments began falling away.

I've still got a way to go to let go of years of accumulated stuff, but every time I let go of something I no longer need, I feel freer.

What was the last thing you wondered about?

Posted on Nov 21st, 2008 by celebriticat : Ambassador of Hugs celebriticat
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 21, 2008:

I wonder about things all the time. What can I say? I'm a Leo.

But one of the things I wonder about fairly often is how blind we often are to our own illusions of duality.

For instance, many who purport to practice tolerance are intolerant of those whom they consider to be intolerant.

And those who wail against others' judgments of them will turn right around and judge someone else.

I see it as evidence to suggest that it is all coming from inside. Whatever we see in our outward experience that doesn't serve us or others may be healed within us.

We may "be the change we wish to see" as Gandhi so eloquently put it.
